Connecting to vmserver remote console outside INE Lab

• Make sure your host is within CUHK or use VPN to connect to CUHK if not.
• set your browser proxy setting to address: proxy.ine.cuhk.edu.hk Port: 80
• Type the URL to access the vmserver as usual. eg: http://vmserver11.nlab.ine.cuhk.edu.hk:8222
• Download and install VMware Remote Console on your machine if you haven't to
• Lauch the remote console for the VM you want as ususal.
• substitute vmserver??.nlab.ine.cuhk.edu.hk with proxy.ine.cuhk.edu.hk as shown in the below figure:
